As a GoBoat Cruise captain, you’ll do more than just steer the boat—you’ll be the host and storyteller, giving guests an unforgettable experience as they sit back, relax, and soak in the beauty of Copenhagen from the water.
About GoBoat Cruise
Since 2014, GoBoat has been creating unique experiences on the water, expanding to 7 countries and 20 locationsworldwide, including Denmark, the UK, the USA, Australia, Germany, and Sweden.
With more and more happy guests setting sail every day, we’ve noticed a growing demand for captained cruises—allowing customers to fully enjoy the scenery without having to navigate themselves. To meet this demand, we launched GoBoat Cruise in 2024!
This new concept, featuring luxurious electric boats from our sister company Rand Boats, will offer private captained tours through Copenhagen Harbor. As a captain, you’ll play a key role in shaping this exciting new experience from the very start!
Who We’re Looking For
We’re searching for enthusiastic, social, and confident individuals who love being on the water. As a GoBoat Cruise captain, you should be able to multitask while always prioritizing top-notch service.
Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 18 years old
- Strong sailing experience and confidence handling boats
- Excellent navigation and communication skills to guide guests safely
- Outgoing personality—you should enjoy talking to guests about the sights, history, and culture of Copenhagen
- Technical skills are a plus to handle any minor on-board challenges
- Quick decision-making skills to manage any unexpected situations
- Ability to work independently while also being a great team player
- Understanding of boat and equipment maintenance
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in Danish and English (other languages are a plus)
Your Role as a Captain
- Welcome guests and make them feel comfortable before and during the cruise
- Ensure a smooth and enjoyable sailing experience through safe navigation
- Plan and execute exciting routes that showcase the best of Copenhagen’s harbor
- Share fun facts and stories about the city’s landmarks, history, and culture
- Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe environment for guests and other harbor users
- Keep the boat and equipment in top condition to ensure a flawless experience
