On Saturday, December 13, 2025, join us for an atmospheric boat tour that brings you up close to the traditional Kayak Lucia Parade — a magical sight lighting up the December darkness. From the water, you’ll have the best view as the glowing parade drifts through the city’s canals.
Enjoy a warm drink – coffee and tea are included in the ticket price.
Worried it might get a bit chilly? Don’t worry — we’ve got you covered with blankets, soft heated seats, and a bimini to keep out wind and rain. Just remember to dress warmly.

Kayak Republic and Kayak Bar Lucia Parade
As tradition has it, kayakers gather for a floating Lucia procession through Copenhagen Harbor on December 13. Experience this magical and heartwarming event as hundreds of paddlers from near and far glide through the harbor and canals, their beautifully decorated kayaks lighting up the darkness.
Over the years, the event has grown into a popular spectacle, attracting thousands of spectators along the waterfront. The many new bridges around the Inner Harbor make it easy for onlookers, family, and friends to follow the parade on foot along the route.
